By writing a blog, it opened up my world to other blogs. Prior to continuously blogging, the only blog I regularly kept up with was PerezHilton. And I sometimes found myself wandering on Ocean Up. Posting links can show a reader different opinion.
Writing using video and images has helped me to better understand new media and writing. For me, it is a lot easier to see something concrete, like a picture or a video, than to just read about it. It is fun to see what the blogger can come up with when looking for ways to show their writing instead of writing their ideas down.
