The Single Parent Resource Center, Inc. , located in mid-town Manhattan, was started in 1975 as a small pilot program of the Community Service Society of New York. Now an independent, not-for-profit organization, SPRC is the only comprehensive agency devoted solely to providing programs for over 2,000 of New York City s single parents and their families annually.

Members can receive up to ten free individual counselling sessions. Services for members include a clothing and household goods room, a bread pantry, a library and toy room, an annual school supplies drive, a Christmas Hamper program.
