Monday, January 25, 2016. Life lessons I learned from my first half marathon. I learned respect for my body. A 12 minute mile is the same distance as a 6 minute mile. I have said it before and will say it again, I have not one athletic bone, or even cell for that matter, within my body. My race was a slow race. Something I was very self-conscious about at first.
