Redirect 404 to a PublishingPage in the Pages library. You can find lots of info on how to redirect a 404 error in your SharePoint environment to a custom page in the layouts folder, but in this case I needed to redirect to a page in the pages library, so local administrators could have freedom to edit the content on this page just like any other page. This operation requires IIS integrated pipeline mode.

The site had the following in the homepage, "Blah,Blah, SHAREPOINT, Blah, Blah! Steps to Remove orphan sites from SharePoint." I noticed that the web site stated " Remove Orphan sites from SharePoint Health Analyzer." They also stated " 1 Open Powershell and Run Test-SPContentDatabase command. Test-SPContentDatabase -Name Database Name -WebApplication URL. This will show the IDs of the Orphan sites. 2 Run stsadm command to delete the site from the database.
