My husband and I rented a tandem kayak, it was so hot, but really nice to do something together and see all the nature. Seems like we had too much rain and hot weather,. Many of the plums were starting to grow a white mold,. So we picked all the rest of the good plums. This time quite a few of them tasted ripe and were delicious to eat right off the tree.

Thursday, July 29, 2010. July 27, 2010 - Garnet Lake. I went for a kayak paddle today at Garnet Lake, circum-navigating the lake for 7. It was a hot afternoon and a few splashes of cool water on my face and arms kept me cool. Here is a photo looking back at the south end of the lake where I launched.
