This is an unedited prayer I journaled last Thursday, that has been running through my heart ever since. You revive the heart to fear You and You ordain our steps. You have us ever before You and lead, guide and protect.

I hope that one day it will be okay to be me. Would you date white guys or black guys? I get this question a lot. But, people seem to always want to know. As if, I had a chosen side. As if the sides are in opposition to one another and, eventually, one must win. I have honestly never looked in the mirror and thought about my ethnicity.

As I marveled at how beautiful God had made him, I realized that since the snow had already been covering our ground for a week, the birds were probably looking for something to eat. Feeling sorry for them, I went to the pantry, found some crackers, and quickly crumbled them into tiny pieces, collecting them in a bag. Properly positioned, I reached into my baggie and began to sling my cracker crumbs ever so beautifully past the landscaping onto snow covered yard.

Despite what it seems or how it feels, this is a perfectly, appointed time, place and season. This is not a mistake. This is not left to random chance or circumstance. This season is part of the story and this part is necessary.
