In 1998 my 7th grade English teacher, Mrs. Schmitt, held an anonymous poetry contest in class. As the winner, my prize was a flowery journal with lined pages. Since that first journal I have filled a shelf with finished books, and most of my life since then has been documented. For better or worse, I suppose I am ready to start sharing.
