I was losing hope, desire and interest. I continued on and as the sun beat through my car windows and the sound of reggae filled the car, my mood instantly changed and the hope for a beautiful, memorable, hiking adventure was restored. I was on my way! That is not how my adventures go anymore though. I have to have a plan b.

Is Barefoot Running the way to go? Is barefoot running risk-free? It depends. As stated before, if you just take off your shoes and start running you can easily incur some severe injuries. Traditional running shoes that most of people use have built in shock absorption. Our physiques have become accustomed to that additional aid and if we just take that away it could be catastrophic.
