This is my current up to date photographic journey. Sunday, 3 October 2010. The Client was celebrating their 40th birthday at Salmlesbury Hall near Preston. At the last part of the evening was dancing, which was a challenge to capture with the low light levels. Once the guests had arrived and opportunity took place for more formal group shots, with the architecture of the building as the back drop. I used some tudor portraits from the portrait gallery as inspiration for these images.

As I sit and write this post I think back to this time exactly one year ago, I was just coming round after a second major surgery that kick started some major changes in my life. One year ago life was very different, even the weather seems to echo this. Last year on the 22nd March people were wearing shorts and T-shirts and basking in a heatwave, today the snow is falling and we are wrapped up warm inside with the heating on! Sadly in January we said goodbye to an amazin.

With the amazing support of people in the UK we have been able to arrange 3 flights to deliver urgently needed medicines to Angoche. With the road bridges washed away and extensive flooding, it has been impossible to get through to Nampula. Working with District officials, Inacio of TYH helped to arrange these relief supplies. A flooded Inguri, the town area of Angoche closest to the sea.
