Winchester has been buzzing for the last few days as the much anticipated Hat Fair came to the city, turning the everyday into the extraordinary. With theatre, dance and circus-inspired events to surprise you on every corner, there was so much for everyone young and old, to enjoy. Saturn were lucky to have the opportunity to take part in the events on Friday and marched down to town with their bird masks at the ready and their giant sculpture! What was the sculpture for? Year 3 have been studying the body in science and were very lucky to have a visit from Mrs Hodgkinson. She talked to the children all about the different bones and joints in the human body and how they help us to move. She brought in many models of the different bones to show the children which really helped them to understand the different types of joints and how the skeleton fits together to protect the body. It was a great afternoon.

St Faiths School Council Together We Learn, We Share, We Pray, We Care.

School Council visit Brendoncare Meadway. A group of our School Councillors were invited to visit Brendoncare. Care Home as a thank you for raising money towards a new summer house. The school fundraised by organising a Bags 2 School. Event where the children brought in bags full of clothes and toys they no longer need. This was then weighed and the school was given an amount of money according to the weight of the bags. To complete a rubbish bin audit! We donated.

The site had the following in the homepage, "Last week Venus and Neptune had an exciting, but wet, trip to Hilliers Arboretum." I noticed that the web site stated " Luckily all the Infants had arrived at school on Monday well prepared for their day out with waterproof coats and wellington boots! They definitely needed them! They went to Hilliers to extend their learning in science about mini-beasts and they had a very successful day out! A real credit to those involved! A report by Sophie and Kainoah Y2." They also stated " We were given some soft toys and we had to make a habitat."
