Capstone Connect

The Journey of A Different Pond. Began in 2015 when I read a blog post that poet Bao Phi had written about another Capstone picture book I edited. By Patti Kim and illustrated by Sonia Sánchez. Bao praised the book as one he loved sharing with his young daughter, because it told a story about a child who looked like her. He wanted his daughter to know that there are as many stories as there are bodies in the world. Truly exquisite writing and this was just a blog post! The Best We Could Do.
