A while ago we spent an evening making some tin punched lanterns which harked back to my Girl Guide days. First you take an empty, washed food can and fill it with water. Once frozen, using a nail and a small hammer, punch some holes, we made some starry night and hearts designs and then left the can out for the ice to melt.
