Thursday, August 13, 2015. Photo of Houston Elementary School, Mineral Wells, Texas, the the Mineral Wells Index. Today our local paper explained in great detail that the school district, or ISD as we call them here in Texas, has a big problem because my former campus has low STAAR test scores. Humph! Leave them alone and let them teach! After all, unlike what the government thinks, all kids are NOT the same. Further, kids are no longer expected to mind, to be quite, to listen.
Tan, Black and White Mandala. Tan paper, black and white ink. I saw this quote from Plato and knew I had to create a mandala to go with it. Creating mandalas and writing poetry to accompany them is so relaxing and fulfilling. And just let your muse take over.

The site had the following in the homepage, "My virtual sketch crawl was at our house helping and watching our neighbor, Mark, power wash our house." I noticed that the web site stated " He is the BEST neighbor! He did wash out two bats from behind the stationary shutters." They also stated " Good to know as they eat a lot of Mosquitos. And, ps, he really is that muscular. Oh, and, I was inspired to spatter white acrylic paint on the sketch to simulate the water and spray that went everywhere. Once in a blue moon?
