A comment on the news and life in France, from an Englishman abroad. Tuesday, 10 January 2017. The migrant crisis hits home. It was a typical Monday afternoon. When the train pulled in to the station, I made sure to not sit too close. There are lots of gangs in Grenoble particularly among immigrant communities. Growing up in London has taught me to be discrete, better safe than sorry. Typical, the arrogance of them, I thought. They boarded the train and asked the young men.

I noticed that the web site stated " The Bookworm Café as we know it is closing to the public on Sunday 8th of December 2013." They also stated " We are leaving our current premises and hope to re-open in 2014 earliest Spring and latest Autumn in a new location and with a strengthened team. 1st objective of helping the Bookworm survive has been achieved; we now need to be sustainable and successful long term and for that we need your help! The whole exercise was excruciating in a way as I was juggling the list of favourite books in my mind. Some names got replaced every time I made a list but one book retained its place each and every single time, remaining the first name on the list. And it was the very first novel I had read. Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
50 Books to Read Before You Die. The Ever Changing Book List. The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank is on my list of 50 books to read before I die and will also count on my 2015 reading challenge as a book from my childhood as I first read it when I was a kid.
