Well this is an unexpected bonus. My new sparkly linen top works very well with one of my old favourites. This skirt was recently rescued from the depths of my wardrobe. The Fabric Store also has an excellent and extensive selection of Liberty.

One of my favourite blogs, as I mentioned on Saturday, is Fringe Association. And I liked the look of these mittens. Karen Templer Log Cabin Mitts. They are based on a log cabin patchwork design. I discovered this method when I did my quilting class. Nick and I loved this pattern.

Sewing patterns, mainly designing my own. Another sewing blog, with an emphasis on making patterns for garments. My thought, last October, was to reboot this blog in the first week of March. Plans were roughed out, but hey, that mice and men thing. Family illness took me away for five weeks. I travelled back on 1st March, but, literally before getting the unpacking done I missed my footing on the cellar steps, fell, and broke my hip. So frustrating! October 21, 2017.

Even just after 9am the queue for day tickets was already snaking its way around the block so I was very glad of my members early entry ticket. The exhibition space was more crowded this time than on my last visit.

Up until now my experiments have all been skinny jeans made from Burda 103-07-2010. This however is Burda 115-12-2009, a pattern for wide legged trousers with interesting curved seams. The technical drawing will have to do. The trousers are made from yet more of the metallic stretch twill fabric. I got from Truro Fabrics.

S Secret Sale last Saturday, the 18th July at their Mostyn branch and was able to take 3 of my friends from Liverpool Sewing Club. We had a great day, buying lots of bargains in the secret sale, shopping in the rest of the large Abakhan store, sitting in the sun eating, drinking and having a great day all round. Gotta have a proper rummage! .
