The railing was white and did not look great with the interior design of the home. The upper part is wood and the bars are iron. Before I faux finished the railing they added black middle pieces to the bar which made them look really nice. For the background I was using a very dark brown; then a darker glaze and for the final touch a light golden wash over it. Railing before the faux finish. Railing with faux finish on top.
