Was special as I was on holiday and could enjoy the festival in its true spirit. It also coincided with bonfire night, so we witnessed some truly spectacular fireworks that night. Always wants to wear new clothes the following monday.

Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Lights to lighten the mood. Kids tried very hard for green Diwali, but succumbed to peer pressure. Made Mysore pak for the first time courtesy SIL. And lots and lots of lamps and floating turtles courtesy Kalakshetra fair. Salads designed by the children. We tried a Minecraft cake which was not too kuch appreciated. Food as usual was pizza and stuff around that- finger food, juice etc.
Tuesday, October 3, 2017. To get to read or not to. Sonny boy used to LOVE being read to. He can watch anything on a screen- tv, computer, phone, tablet- anything, and he can spend HOURS in front of it. Which gets my GOAT! Hope he takes to reading.
