Tired of Thinking About Drinking. Sobriety is Like a Little Car.
Last week we dropped off my boys at summer camp. It is a three week camp. Drunk Nancy has been screaming for seven days now, and she sort of has a valid point.
Wallowing in my own self pity. I am getting poorer though. That is a huge motivator though. I truly cannot afford to drink. But do I anyway? Yeah, silly question. Thanks for hanging with me through all this. Anyone still out there? .
Ugh, what a horror ride through the tunnel of my drinking past. 10 awesome things in 2 years.
These are the words I used to justify drinking. In the sober light of day, and with a clear mind, I can see how twisted and deluded and tragic these words are. They are the words of a sick mind, overtaken by alcohol. It will train the mind to attack itself, like a cancer of the soul.
My Days of Wine and Roses, Without the Wine. Living la vida loca, sober. 8211;of peace and joy and ease. Never had that for a full year before. That they were on Day -1, so to speak.
Still tired but not a zombie anymore. I am so tired of thinking about drinking and not drinking. So I try not to think about it. Happy to be back to blogging. Missed it so much! September 5, 2016.
Apologies for not posting for a while! I have been very busy working and enjoying my sober life. I still attend AA meetings, and I have 3 sponsees. I have never felt or looked so healthy.
