North Carolina, United States. Monday, June 23, 2014. A New Kind of Waiting. I am very excited to share the news that we have recently been approved by the State to become foster parents. In October of last year, Harris and I began our classes to get our license. We did 60 hours of classwork and are now licensed to receive up to 4 children! We are so hopeful that everything will start coming together soon for our family. Until then, we wait.

Friday, November 15, 2013. Oma planted pumpkins in her garden this year. We painted our pumpkins and the boys had a pretty good time. Gotta love skinny tiny boys focused on painting. He would rather be home with us than running errands or going to school! We spend most of the day reading or playing the kindle. He also loves his rescue bots.
Saturday, January 10, 2015. Our God likes to show off. The fundraising for our adoption is in full swing. We were blessed last month by The House of Bounce in Joplin. We got the check from them in the mail this week. This week we also had our last set of fingerprints done for our dossier. The police station charged to get them done and then we also had to send a check in with the fingerprint cards to cover the cost of the KBI and FBI background check as well. And you know what? To God be the glory.
