silverbells steps out A journey of discovery in my garden

A journey of discovery in my garden. Cabbage with nutmeg and feta. Slow cooker baked potato and fried egg. Tomato and Jerusalem artichoke soup. I had always known the bushes would have to go and once I started digging, plans for what to do next started to formulate. The new space became the vegetable patch. While I then got rid of the lawn. This meant that I had a lot of space for growing vegetables but I did also want space for other type.

The ups and downs of the gardening world. A skipper butterfly inserting its proboscis into the flower slurping up nectar. Butterflies are flying everywhere in my yard, swooping, basking, and fluttering like graceful ballerinas in a ballet. PARSED CONTENT

The site had the following in the homepage, "Where the present and past collide." I noticed that the web site stated " Saving Zucchini and Tomato Seeds." They also stated " I grated a zucchini up to freeze and got 5 cups out of it. I followed Back Yard Gardenings post on how to save the seeds. Before grating, I took the core, cleaned out the seeds as best I could and put them in a large glass bowl full of water. I let it sit for several minutes. The dead seeds should float to the top, the good ones will fall to the bottom. Used a slotted spoon to take out the ones that were floating, drained the rest."
