He had a condition known as Cushings and we just could not keep weight on him. The onset of cooler weather was going to be too difficult for him. Monday, July 4, 2016. Earlier this year, I saw a frog sunning itself on some fallen reeds. I liked the abstract pattern of the reeds in the shallow water and the fairly limited color scheme of the scene. I often look for patterns like this in nature. They make for interesting painting compositions. It seems to blend in with so many other ordinary things. And then, sometimes, sometimes people pass over you.
It is very decorative even if I do say so myself and has made up into a lovely print on the thick German Hahnemuhle paper with archival pigment inks to last a lifetime. Thursday, 29 December 2011.
