We had dinner and wine and made collages using fairy pictures that Susan had brought. It was so much fun.
Drove all day to Meteor Crator campgrounds near Flagstaff Arizona to be within driving distance to the Grand Canyon the next day. A lot of windshield time and much gas. If you love it, let it go. I recently spent three days backpacking through the Desolation Wilderness, just south of Lake Tahoe in California. Ironically, the area was barren of neither vegetation nor people. It was packed with hikers and overnight campers, all hoping to find some peace and solitude. As someone with years of backcountry experience, I was surprised to be stopped by rangers asking to see our wilderness permits. This entry was posted in travel.
