Palo Duro Canyon is only about 40 minutes from our house, but I could count on one hand the number of times Kev and I have been in the last eleven years. Not so anymore! The past 2 Saturdays the weather has been fabulous and we have loaded up a picinic lunch, kiddos, backpacks, hiking shoes, and sunscreen and headed out for adventure! The water was all the way over the road.

Friday, March 18, 2011. We started packing yesterday, in light of the fact that we may be moving in a mere 3 weeks. What a great excuse to go through all the closets and pantries and have a solid clean-out. It yields a fresh beginning, in what will soon be a few place, ready for a new season to begin.

We headed out to Ruidoso for a couple of days to catch up on some long awaited family time. Lily drove her 1st go-cart, rode her 1st pony, and had her 1st bumper boat experience! My parents came along with us and we all had a great time.

Hva ser vi i dag? Ligger sentralt på Venabygdsfjellet, 78 km nord for Lillehammer og 18 km fra Ringebu i Gudbrandsdalen. Anlegget ligger like ved Venabu Fjellhotell. Hyttene er i ulike størrelser og egner seg for single, par eller små og store familier. Hyttene har også vært brukt til arbeidsmøter og jubileer. Ideelt for storfamilien som skal samle barn og barnebarn til en rund d. De har det ikke bedre nedi bygden.

Foreningen, som har navnet Venabygdsfjellet Vel, består av hytteeiere, næringsdrivende og grunneiere.
