My memory of that day is a bit timely today, as it sits in the script of my current life. Lately I have been reflecting a lot on my family, or the lack thereof, with a great deal of sadness.

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed for an article on dealing with life post-chemo for our local newspaper, the Dallas Morning News. I say pleasure, but it was actually tough to talk about that time in my life, even though I think about it all the time. Looking at photos of that time was even tougher. While I do take serious.

Yesterday was my birthday and I have a lot to celebrate. Oh, and something I wrote is going to be published this month! A few months ago, in the middle of chemo, I found out that a race report I wrote on my first 50K trail race in Palo Duro would be published in the running magazine. It really is the best running magazine out there. Almost all of the articles are writt.
