KQ8X My blog about amateur radio and life.

My blog about amateur radio and life. First CW QSO on the FT-450D. Tonight I got back to the parsonage after a two-day preaching workshop in Conway. After tuning around a bit, I heard K4ZNC in Tallahassee, Florida calling CQ. I answered him and had a nice 10 minute QSO. His name was also John. I only ran 90 watts into the MP-1 and it did a great job.

PARSED CONTENT

The site had the following in the homepage, "Another online adventure in ham radio." I noticed that the web site stated " March 7, 2015 CW Key to Paddle Switch An Easy Project." They also stated " March 7, 2015 by w5cyf. I like the music of the code, the ability to communicate with basic and even low cost equipment and the joy of building some of the radios I use for CW. I also like EASY! I only had a DPDT switch and was limited to two selections for inputs, however a rotary switch would work just as well and you could then switch between several selections."
