Ok so by the end of the day. I was jumping around the WIP lab. So everyone will just have to wait and see how the whole thing looks together tomorrow morning.
Sheila and I would like to design a rain jacket that is both practical and fashionable at the same time. We will aim to create appealing patterns, designs, along with inputs of bright colours so that people can feel good about wearing a rain jacket during rainy days. We believe that this will create a fashion trend where people will look to a rainy day and feel good about what rain jacket they can wear.
To make this garment transformation as dramatic as possible, I chose many distinctive colours but still based on Junihitoe colour theory. Although Junihitoe means 12 layer-robes, they were usually 6 layers. The colours vary according to the season but these colours, red, purple, pink, yellow, gray-blue, green are commonly worn throughout the year. Sorry for the messy sketch but you will see how it is going to look soon.

I tested two different fabric for my project, one is leather and other one is black denim fabric. Leather looks nice, but I personally like black more and denim was so much easier to saw with the sawing machine that I have. I will post my final form after the presentation. I teach ceramics at Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska. I teach jewelry classes and will include some of those works as well. Ceramic Vases based on African Zulu Tribal Art. My students were amazed at the level of sofisticatioin their pots reached and how satifiying it is to work on a larger scale. Student Work Based on hopi ceramic design.
