완전하다는 것은 결코 이룰 수 없는 상태. 이 불가능성을 향한 열망을 동력으로 움직인다. 의 사전적 정의는 다음과 같다. 선대의 인류가 후대에 남긴 물건. 예전에 통용되던 제도나 이념 따위가 이미 그 효력을 잃어 쓸모가 없어졌음을 비유적으로 이르는 말. 은 두 번째 정의에 가깝다. 물질의 쓰레기도 정신의 쓰레기도 여기에 속한다. 변하지 않는다는 절대조건이 만들어내는 거시사의 아우라. 가 목적 잃은 이동의 굴레를 계속 돌려 나아간다. 나는 이 굴레 속에서 버려지기를 반복하는 미시적인 이야기에 집중한다. 일상의 쓰레기들로 직조된 가상의 스펙터클한 풍경이나 은유적 인물을 통해 그 모순적 상태와 함께 큰 이야기와 작은 이야기의 연관성에 대해 드러내고자 한다.
