Sunday, May 19, 2013. No one who knows me or reads this blog will be surprised to learn that a vacation with no inherent beer-related focus became just another part of my ongoing beer education. It finds me wherever I go! I imagine this turtle making airplane noises as he swims. Kona Koko Brown is my new favorite brown ale, and maybe even beer in general. It tastes like toffee - need I say more? .

So how do you say Thank You to people who have given their lives and sacrificed so much so that the rest of us can be FREE? We have this day called, Veterans Day to do just that. But it never seems like enough. Our Heros, men and women, who have given up so many different things in their lives, so that we all can have the freedoms to be and do as we wish, deserve so much more then a simple Thank You on one day.

The Colonel tends to look disheveled most of the time. Her feathers are coming in over her fluff. She looks puffy and like she just rolled out of bed. She is developing beautiful white feathers. Colonel Slade and One Hot Chick checking out the new perch. The chickes are two weeks old today.
