The education system- teaching and learning combined is of huge interest to me, and having the freedom to choose what I wrote about each week kept my interest throughout. Usually, we are told what to write about, when to write about it and what we are meant to learn from it. In this module it was all personal- I got to choose.
For the Science of Education Module I have blogged, and read blogs about a wide range of issues related to educational psychology. This module has proved many things, some of which I will now go onto discuss,. The Science of Education module has been the most engaging module I have undertaken in all the years I have been in education.

This has been one of my favourite modules from the whole time I have been here. 1 We were given the opportunity to be truly independent learners. We had to choose our own topics, arguments and sources to back these up. This is something I feel is missing from many curriculums, both at secondary and tertiary education levels. While some people will benefit more from a structured approach than others, too much structure be restricting and discouraging.
Reflective blog time already! This module has really opened my eyes to the benefits, but more importantly, the issues that the UK has within its education system, of which there are LOTS. And for those of you who have read some of my previous blogs, you may have noticed how regularly I refer back to the example of Finland for good education.

Hence, there may be more of a need to focus on the validity of research used to support implementations. What have I learned? 8211; Reflective blog0. Did we arrive at our destination? Well, if it is defined as the end of the year finishing the module, perhaps. But I believe this module has taught us that we are travelers as long as we stay actively involved in the process, the processes of learning and that social media with its good and bad sides can be a great tool to journey on.
