Following the Banded Swan Programme birds. To get a feel of the programme, Dorothy and I went down to Albert Park on Sunday 15th April. We found quite a number of banded swans, and two in particular had interesting encounters. The neck collar is not tight, it is just that he has puffed up his neck feathers. On feeding birds, it slips up and down the neckline quite easily. The Victor then threw a great display of neck stretching and wing flapping and calling.
