We took ideas from other pieces that we have performed that we inkeeping with the dance idea, we added change of direction to this and refined some of the movements to make them more in a Merce Cunningham style. We also changed our spacial arrangement and direction to use more of the space and make our piece look more interesting.

Doing my final lesson of dance forms we began to make all of our small dance forms pieces into a group performance. using canon and pausing we were able to create this group dance. we also would on transisitions on and off the stage, as well as our begining freeze frames, for example my group sway very slowly back and forward.

Merce Cunningham was bourn in Washington in 1919. He was considered as one of the most important choreographers of our time when he passed away in 2009. As well as performing with his company, he also trained some of the worlds most well known choreographers of today, some of these being names such as Karole Armitage, Trisha Brown, Jonah Bokaer and may more.
