Perhaps the best bird ringing blog in Cardiff. Monday, 8 August 2016. Sunday is a day for enjoyment. The Cardiff Ringers are no stranger to enjoyment and relaxation, especially the kind that is measured in pints. But this Sunday, The Ginger Fishermen found some new pastimes for us. A nice walk in the countryside followed by some tree climbing and three feathered pastimes were inducted in to the ringing scheme.

3 Grasshopper Warblers, 1 Garden Warbler, and. They may not be a particularly exotic set, but for Kenfig they are pretty unusual to catch. The Marsh Tit also being a first for some ringers here. The early round picked up the Grasshopper warblers and one liked it so much it decided to visit again later in the morning.
