On a visit to Granada this July morning I only had the chance to take one photo. It is of Plaza Gracia, a little known and photographed square off Calle Recogidas one of the main shopping streets, and I think the church is San Cecilio. Two More First Prize Winners. St Just In Roseland, Cornwall. I have just won first prize in two more art contests. First my watercolour of St Just in Roseland wom first prize in the international, on line art contest Church Themes in March. There were 625 images submitted. San Bartolomé, Albaicin, Granada. The original pastel is for sale for 250 euros.

Pepe the donkey was grazing in a lane near my home when a black and white cat came out of a farm gate and approached him. They appeared to be friends as they touched noses and followed each other around. I thought they would make a charming painting. I first decided to capture them in watercolour but changed my mind as I think pastel works better here. The medium is pastel on Sennelier pastel card. The image size is 450mm x 300. The original painting is for sale for 200 Euros.

I like this view of the Alhambra from Sacromonte in Granada. Although the peaks of the Sierra Nevada do not provide a snowy backdrop to the castle and palace, the different trees provide a colourful foreground, particularly in autumn when this was painted.
