Funny the way it is, if you think about it. In the novel, as you have tried to beat into our heads, Butler is obviously trying to get readers to notice her not so subtle themes and images. Her redundancy is something that I think effects us as readers. Sometimes her style of writing makes me annoyed, sometimes it makes me eager to read on, sometimes it makes me scared for the characters. The structure of this book reminded me of.
