All about my adventures in The Gambia. I wrote about how we harvested our own rice. Several friends have told me that they found it very interesting to read all about how the rice is harvested traditionally here in The Gambia, and asked what happens after the rice has been cut.

The site had the following in the homepage, "Posting videos on the blog." I noticed that the web site stated " You will notice that homework looks slightly different this week." Heavers Farm Year Group Blog. Let there be Light! January 12, 2017. Our new topic in Science this term is Light. We introduced the topic in a fun way with light boxes. We looked through a small hole in a box to try and identify an object inside but we found this difficult without any light. However when we shone a torch through the hole, we found it much easier to see the objects.

Heavers Farm Year 5 Group Blog. Meet the Year 5 Team. Posting videos on the blog. Year 5 have been crafting papier-mâché masks and have painted them in a variety of patterns and colours! Their designs have been inspired by designs from history, such as those from Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt. What were masks used for in Ancient Greece and what are they used for today? What jobs require you to wear a mask? .
Today, Year 6 have been investigating shape nets which followed on the the 3-D shape learning we did yesterday. Next week, we will take nets a step further by solving problems involving visualising nets as 3-D shapes.
