Ian was a hard working, happy, generous, warm, respectful, loving young man. He lived hard and fast, always a worry to his parents and our grandmother, but his smile and charm would light up a room. I knew how much we loved him, but I did not know the incredible impact he had on the lives around him until Tuesday. However, I am reminded of a Truth as we navigate through his loss. In most places on this planet going for a walk along the shore does not require one to wait two weeks before setting out; but that is not the case if you are planning on walking along the shore of the magnificent Bay of Fundy. I wanted to go walking along the shore at Blomidon Provincial Park.

I rarely use black and white in photography because I love colors so much. Like in this landscape where an early morning mist added some mystery or softness to the countryside. It even showed the glimmer of the railway line under a pale sun. Since then, snow has receded to the mountains, faded autumnal colors are still covering the sides of the hills and I just love the blending of the different layers.
