I truly feel that blogs can be very beneficial if they are used appropriately. However, what constitutes as appropriate varies widely from grade level to grade level. I am not sure when it is developmentally appropriate to introduce blogs to students but I do feel that if introduced too early, the blog could become more of a deterrence than a learning tool.

The site had the following in the homepage, "I thought that this article made a very good point, in that a lot of teachers probably select one books for all of their students to read when that is not usually the best option." I noticed that the web site stated " There is such a varying degree of reading levels among students in a given class." They also stated " Each student should read a book that is at their specific instructional level, even if that means breaking the class up into several groups.
