This is late, wow. Basically this is my imagination in story form. I feel like I wrote that Identity Crisis story years ago.

I am called to shine bright and unwavering against the carpet of black. Voices rise and fall around me. As we bounce along the dusty road. For just this one day, we are free. Sunlight streams through the laces of the trees. Hovering over the glass, there is no drive. Water seeps into my bones a cold freeze. But together, by myself, I feel alive. Birds soar into and above nothing. While water roars in a symphony.
Jake was in between a rock and a hard place. In a game of capture the flag, a guard on the opposing paintball team had pinned him down. Jake had to do something. Paintballs splattered against the barricade that Jake was using for cover. He was playing a paintball version of capture the flag. The flag was in an open space in front of Jake. However, an opposing guard had him pinned.
This might be a little boring at times. Comment if you want part two. Fresh water was either contaminated or dried out. Fruit and Vegetables became impossible to find.
