This is definitely my last blog. I will miss it as I will miss all you folks on the course with me. But at least we have reached our mutual destination together and are ready to go our separate ways on our next journey. I hope that our paths will converge at intervals along the way.

Had a very productive PDP meeting with Pete yesterday afternoon and it was good to have half an hour set aside just to sit down and chat informally about anything and everything. There are also numerous grants and financial assistance we can provide and I need to get to grips with the procedures and qualifying criteria for these. As others have mentioned in their blogs we were lucky enough.

The individual is still key in my opinion although I accept the thinking that encourages us to look at the individual in context of their surroundings.
I feel the most important things I have learnt over the past year are;. New listening techniques and the importance of listening. The narrative approach and how much I like it. The importance and usefulness of reflection.
And so the end is near. I just wanted to post this short but sweet post to say that I have now got a clear understanding of why reflection is important especially in the line of work we are all heading towards. Having time to think about your ideas and beliefs allows you to see yourself and practice in a different way and highlights what is really important. What has happened to make them believe they are bad and work through to let them see.
