December 7, 2009 by elbaack. My favorite poem that we hav read in class is OCaptain My Captain. It was easy to read and understand. What is your favorite piece of poetry that we have worked on in class so far? December 4, 2009. I like this poem because its sweet and simple to the point, which makes it very easy to understand. I also like the way he phrases things and his ideas. I would have never thought to write a poem about that, but he has good ideas that come out great if he puts them in writing! I liked Song of Myself 10 the most because it had a lot of diverse scenes that depicted the life of Americans- mostly freedom. From the trapper to the runaway slave, I think a lot is said in a couple lines. The book and what it said.
