In addition to blogging for my Public Relations writing class, all of the students were also asked to create a twitter handle and post frequently throughout the semester. We were asked to post about trends in the PR industry, interesting articles we may have stumbled upon, and even some Marquette-related topics, being sure to include a picture that we snapped and edited on Instagram! Tweeting professionally can still be enjoyable, and I was excited when my newsfeed was full of interesting articles, video.

Overall I have mixed emotions about this assignment. As a result I was able to monitor some interesting stories and be exposed to some wise PR professionals. I have a personal Twitter. Like I said before however not everything was lost on me in this assignment. I learned to love a few accounts and followed them on my personal accounts.

My experience with Twitter for class. For the past semester I was instructed to tweet 36 times, about four times a week, with a hashtag for my class. I have had a Twitter. With this assignment it made me think about what I could be tweeting about. Do I focus on re-tweeting interesting articles or just focus on the funny aspects of my daily life? Once this assignment is over, my tweeting might go back.
