We filled the bottle! May 12, 2015. We spent the morning doing dissolving activities in the Science Room. The class have been working hard on lots of different Numeracy activities. It is also very clear at maths stations how much the class have improved their concentration and focus. We have been using a really fun ipad app called Maths Sumo! June 15, 2015.
This week in maths we have been exploring symmetry! I was so impressed by the detail and accuracy of the patterns P1 created! Today we have been out in the garden looking for examples of symmetry in nature. We found logs, insects, leaves and flowers in the garden and noticed that a lot of the murals in the playground have symmetrical shapes too! This slideshow requires JavaScript. Outdoor Learning- Tollcross Canal Adoption. Our class has adopted The Union Canal! Through the John Muir Award we are learning to love and look after the natural world. These pictures show us learning water safety, investigating features on the canal, making a scavenged canal picture map, mysterious tiny fish, pigeons, ducks and ducklings and finally, our very own clay canal creatures.
