Monday, May 26, 2014. A week ago, I had the privilege of turning a small classroom tragedy into an exciting new opportunity to support student learning. I our half day kindergarten classes we have been doing a FOSS science unit of study on animals. In this portion of the unit, I had been teaching the students about goldfish. The first lesson consisted of making a class list of what we already know about goldfish, and what we hope to find out about these fish.

Learn more, Do more, Be more. Schools as a Micro culture. 8221; the loss of a staff member mid year is intense. Especially of a staff ember that spent the latter part of 14 years with the school. Just saying it was a somber day. I learned that many students mourn differently as do adults. The realities of the world are not sheltered from in school despite our attempts.
