It has been my favorite Summit since I can remember and its a thrill to come back to it and be the first to activate it for SOTA. As you climb up the road towards Mt. Amateur Radio -QRP, Portable, S. HOW TO SET UP A PORTABLE STATION. For some strange reason quite a few experienced amateurs seem to be hesitant about setting up a portable station. Paul, VK5PAS has suggested that he believes that many are not sure how to go about it.
