It looks like shes wearing something on her head or shes got really long hair. Im not sure but she might be pregnant. The colors are the same for the scuplture and the backround. This is a Kitagawa block print called. These works of art present two couples in intimate positions. However the print shows a more physical intimacy while the sculpture shows a more caring and loving couple. These pieces of art show that pregnancy is beautiful and is nothing to be ashamed of or hide.

IN THIS SCULPTURE IT IS MADE UP OF STONE. IT MAY HAVE HAD TO BE CHISELED BY TOOLS TO GIVE THE DISTINC EFECTS AS THE LIGHT THAT IS SHINING FROM THE RIGHT TO ME EMPHISIS THE SCULPTURE CASUE IT LETS YOU SEE CERTAIN PART OF THE ARTIFACTS CLEARLY. From what I can tell this image has a lot of culture in it. The chiseled statue was made with available materials in that day. She seems to be resting or watching an event. Her size indicates they were well fed. The color and texture gives me the empression they lived in a dry enviornment. Special beads on the head suggest spiritual envolvement. This statue is a symbol of fertility amongst their culture.

Just an ordinary humble girl. But you are beautiful and you better go show it. Go look again, you gotta be true to your own. If you really wanna go to the top. Well if you wanna get free. And if you wanna do the passionate thing.

Unlike the sculpture above i can see a more realistic relationship in this painting. I guess you can say that because it looks more real and can be related to us. When I see this picture I can see a relationship more then friends because there there holding hands. Besides this point I like this more then the other and it seems to be more catchy to see then the other.

The Kitigawa is a very busy painting. But the Focal point comes somewhere near the black and white near the center of the photo. There are several shades of black, red, gray through out the painting. The blacks and reds really contrast the grays and whites bringing a balance to the piece. This one the medium in clay, pottery. There is a stark contrast between the tan and black.

This sculpture is also of a couple that seem to be in a deep love. The artist of this piece choose two very different extremes of colors; which helps me to see the two people separately. There is a lot of use of lines to show direction of their bodies. I think that the artist also created a light value, showing light and dark variations on the surface.
