My main advice is just to enjoy your first year as it comes to you. Meet as many people as possible so that way you can decide what group of people you fit in with the best with. You only have one year to be a freshmen at college, make the best of it. Overall I feel that the second essay was just a little bit better than the first one overall. Prior to coming to Miami I know that there is a lot of anxiety. They also stated " Try to schedual your classes in about 15-20 minutes in between. That way, when you are on campus you are going to class. If you have big long breaks between classes, its just that much harder to get out of your bed and go to class again. Stay on top of your work! Dont let yourself get behind. Advice I would give a first year student would be to take freshman year seriously because if you do well academically you will be ahead of the game, especially for miami plans. I would also suggest going to teachers office hours and getting to know your professors. Also, make sure you study hard and learn to balance fun and academics. Welcome to what will become the four best years of your life. In just my first year at Miami I have come to love our amazing campus, dedicated professors, and overall college experience.
