English Literature and Composition 112 Spring 2010. If an incoming freshman were to ask me about what it is like to live on campus I would first. Start by telling them to embrace the dorm life style. Sample Paper 1 with Comments.
My main advice is just to enjoy your first year as it comes to you. Meet as many people as possible so that way you can decide what group of people you fit in with the best with. You only have one year to be a freshmen at college, make the best of it. Overall I feel that the second essay was just a little bit better than the first one overall. They both had different strengths and weaknesses, but the first one was a overall a little bit sh.

Students have questions on where to live, what to study, what organizations to become involved in, and where are possible places of employment. I had some of these same questions when I arrived at Miami, and I wish someone took the time to inform me about these things before coming. Do I live with someone I know? What LLC do I choose? Only sign up for early classes if you are a morning person. If not- stay away from 8 or even 9 am classes. Try to schedual your classes in about 15-20 minutes in between. Advice I would give a first year student would be to take freshman year seriously because if you do well academically you will be ahead of the game, especially for miami plans. Welcome to what will become the four best years of your life. In just my first year at Miami I have come to love our amazing campus, dedicated professors, and overall college experience. Before coming to Miami I was full of nerves; what would my roommates be like, would I like living with people I barely knew, how hard were my classes going to be? There are a bunch of opportunities to meet other freshmen, and other older studnets as well.
Blog 15 Advice for first-year student. Slightly different from most of guys in Eng112 class, I am a sophomore as Miami provides a second language course for international students prior to taking Eng111. Although I have some more experience than most freshmen, my lifestyle could be different from others so I would like to focus my suggestion more on international students. Hope these would help new comer have a better beginning of Miami experience.

I would tell an incoming first-year miami student to be open to new things and new people. Be open-minded about situations, because not everyone here came from the same background. One needs to be open to the different kind of people, because you never know who could become your new best friend. Going in with a positive and open attitude is much more rewarding than coming in with a negative, narrow-minded attitude. This detail of the novel is.
With regards to studying I would say to start studying at least 3 days before the test. Studying ahead of time helps you to relax about the test and get any questions you might have answered way in advance, not to mention your sleep schedule will be better.
