Best things since sliced bread. This course has been very practical and had a direct effect on what I am doing in the classroom. Best things since sliced bread.

Tnazareno Naz EDC 601 is Cool

Even though the reality of having another course after teaching the whole day was really stressful just thinking about it, coming to this class was such a treat. Who can ever not take a course that teaches you how to use technology? I learned a lot of stuff that can be use in the future for my classes like using iMovie. Was quite an amazing experience.

JvG EDC 601 Instructional Technologies

My aims at the beginning of the course were that EDC 601 would be one of the better subjects that I would do as part of my masters. That I would walk away with technologies that I could actually apply in the classroom and that I would have the scope to research whatever technologies I found to be useful. These goals have all been achieved in some form or another. Believe it or not, I was introduced to the Creative Commons.

Bucchianeri, Brushstrokes of a Gadfly. Reflecting on what I learned. My first post contained 4 goals for this course. Did I meet them? 1 Helping me develop my general technology skills and therefore be more EFFECTIVE. Flickr CC by Kevin Conor Kelley. 2Providing opportunities to practice my video making skills so I can be more EFFICIENT in sharing learning with children and families.

James Doble Fat kids always win at see-saw

Fat kids always win at see-saw. Well this course is definitely better than my previous masters projects for a number of reasons. 1 The food spread was awesome.

Eric Bird - ED Tech Musings things to ponder in the realm of ed tech and beyond

Things to ponder in the realm of ed tech and beyond. As this course has come to a close, I would have to agree with John van Galen in his assessment of EDC 601. To be more adept at integrating technology into my classroom.

K Rollin With the Techies

Today, I learned to make my own ScreenCast using. Which was surprisingly easy to use. So here is my screencast on how to play Factor Captor and EverydayMath game which allows students to practice the skills of factoring numbers. Today I read an article that explained 36 things that 21st Century Teacher Should Be Able To Do.

I was reminded recently of a site I would like to use more in my classroom Socrative. I have used Socrative only once before for our 6. I used the Explain Everything App. As examples, observing the clear descriptions of the steps to follow and different ways of presenting the material. We looked at a brief tutorial that explained the basics of the app and then I let them explore on their own.
