I really enjoyed my practicum at Mountain Crest Elementary. However, I truly think I got the best experience possible and a great teacher. What are the three dimensions of fluency? Expres.
How can you assess each dimension? .
The first though I have had at the beginning of my internship was the level of reading and writing that my Kindergarten students were at. I was shocked at their ability to sound out words and recognize beginning and ending consonants in text to decode difficult words. I did not know that Kindergarteners were expected to read and write at the level that these children were at.
Our teacher was very interactive with the students and did picture walks through all of the new books that the class read together. She utilized choral, echo, and partner reading. She even used a CD player with a few stories on disc that she would put on for the class as a whole and they would follow along in their books. 1 What are the three dimensions of fluency?
