My main advice is just to enjoy your first year as it comes to you. Meet as many people as possible so that way you can decide what group of people you fit in with the best with. Only sign up for early classes if you are a morning person. If not- stay away from 8 or even 9 am classes. Try to schedual your classes in about 15-20 minutes in between. I would tell an incoming first-year miami student to be open to new things and new people. Be open-minded about situations, because not everyone here came from the same background. One needs to be open to the different kind of people, because you never know who could become your new best friend. Going in with a positive and open attitude is much more rewarding than coming in with a negative, narrow-minded attitude. This detail of the novel is.
